Harvard Historical Walking Tour

The Official Harvard tour departs from the Harvard Information Center, in the Holyoke Center Arcade. The tour is student-led and is comprised of an outdoor walk through of the Harvard Yard, providing a history of the university, general information, and a unique view on the student's individual experience! The tour is completely free of charge. There is no pre-registration for general visitors, however, if you have a group of 15 or more, reservations are required. Enter the doors at 77 Massachusetts Avenue, and immediately on your right is your source for maps, directions, and answers to everything MIT. The Information Center also organizes the campus tours; please visit their website for more information, or call 617-253-4795.

 

Campus Tours

Regularly scheduled student-led campus tours are conducted Monday through Friday at 11:00 AM and at 3:00 PM, excluding legal U.S. holidays and the Winter Break period (December 13th-31st).

 

The campus tours depart from the Building 7 Lobby, located at 77 Massachusetts Avenue, and generally last 75-90 minutes. All tours are conducted in English. The tours are led by MIT students and cover some of the most popular areas of the campus including the Student Center, the Zesiger Athletic Center, Kresge Auditorium, the Chapel, the Infinite Corridor and the Stata Center.
