intermediate certificates problems

When run VeriSign SSL Certificate Installation Checker

https://knowledge.verisign.com/support/ssl-certificates-support/index?page=content&id=AR1130

 Got error message:

"The intermediate CA certificate cannot be found for the following certificate chain."

After installed  intermediate  CA certiticate and removed old intermediate certificates, problem still not resolve.  The problem is the trust root certificate - VeriSign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority - G5 needed to be deleted.

Here are steps to remove it:

In the Trusted Root certificate store, please try filtering the root certificate by clicking on the Expiration date header twice, so that the dates are in a descending order.

This will make it easier to locate the VeriSign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority - G5 with the expiration date 07/16/2036.

Once you locate the Root above, right click on it and delete it, then restart the services for the website. And retest the installation:

1. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel

2. Click Add Remove Programs

3. Click Add Remove Windows Components

4. Uncheck the check box for Update Root Certificates
